This Advanced Colour & Design Workshop is designed for students who have completed Soapmaking 101 or have prior cold process soapmaking experience.In this hands on class, students will learn how to design and colour their own soap while exploring a variety of ingredients used to add colour naturally and safely. We’ll also cover basic design techniques that will help you turn a simple batch of soap into your very own soapy masterpiece.🧼
Each participant will: • Learn about colourants and how they behave in soap • Practice beginner-friendly design techniques • Mix, customize and mold their own soap from scratch • Take home over 2 lbs of handmade soap — approximately 14 bars once cut • Receive a detailed handout with recipes, notes and step-by-step instructions
🌿 Scent Options: Students will add scent using skin-safe phthalate free fragrance oils provided. Those who prefer to work with essential oils are welcome to bring their own to use during the workshop.
Important Notes:
• Bring an old towel (to wrap and insulate your soap)
• Bring a bag to carry your soap home
• Wear long pants and closed toe shoes (required for safety)
• Participants must be 18+
•This specialty workshop is designed for soapmakers who have taken Soapmaking 101 (or already have cold process experience) and want to level up their design skills •

With nearly 15 years of soapmaking experience and almost 10 years of teaching, Linda Boyle of Serenity Soaps brings a wealth of knowledge to every workshop. You’ll learn the why behind soapmaking, along with the techniques, tips, and safety practices that come from years of hands-on experience.
